Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Estimation Engineer
with a background in
Electrical Engineering
and a minimum of
5 years of relevant experience
in cost estimation for electrical systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for tenders, bids, and ongoing projects in line with industry standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications for electrical works (LV, MV, ELV systems).
Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and pricing based on project scope and market conditions.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and technical information.
Evaluate project risks and incorporate contingencies into cost estimations.
Assist in value engineering and cost optimization exercises.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals in coordination with the proposals and sales team.
Conduct site visits for pre-bid evaluations when required.
Support project handover by providing detailed estimation documentation to execution teams.
Maintain a database of historical costs, supplier information, and market trends.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering

Minimum
5 years of experience
in cost estimation, preferably in the electrical contracting, MEP, or EPC industries.
Strong understanding of electrical design, schematics, and project specifications.
Familiarity with industry pricing, market trends, and vendor databases.
Proficiency in estimation tools/software
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
