Electrical Engineer / Senior Electrical Technician - Tower Cranes, Hoists & Rack and Pinion Elevators

Job Purpose:
To perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all electrical systems related to tower cranes, material hoists, and industrial rack & pinion elevators, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation at project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out electrical installation, commissioning, and testing for tower cranes, hoists, and rack & pinion elevators.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in control panels, contactors, relays, PLC systems, limit switches, VFDs, and safety circuits.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and safety standards.
Inspect and ensure all electrical protections, limit switches, and interlocks function correctly before operation.
Troubleshoot motor, encoder, and inverter issues efficiently and ensure minimum downtime.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic drawings.
Support mechanical teams during erection, dismantling, and testing operations.
Ensure compliance with site safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
Maintain accurate service and inspection records and report any abnormalities to management.
Coordinate with inspection authorities during third-party testing and certification.
Train and supervise junior technicians or electricians when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma / Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
5-10 years of experience in construction equipment electrical systems, especially tower cranes, hoists, and industrial rack & pinion elevators.
Sound knowledge of AC/DC circuits (24V, 48V, 110V, 415V), motor control, PLC & VFD operations.
Hands-on experience with safety devices, overload relays, limit switches, emergency stop systems, and interlocks.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
