Job Description
For an Engineering Consultation Office, we are looking for an experienced
Electrical Engineer (MEP)
to manage the electrical systems of aG+15 high-rise tower
under construction. The ideal candidate will oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical infrastructure, includingpower distribution, lighting, elevators, fire alarm systems, and backup power systems
.Key Responsibilities:
Review and approve electrical design drawings, load calculations, and specifications.
Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and project requirements.
Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams for smooth execution.
Conduct site inspections and audits to verify contractors' adherence to safety and quality regulations.
Address technical issues, provide solutions, and respond to RFIs.
Review and approve method statements and material submittals.
Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum
8 years of experience
in high-rise building projects.Strong knowledge of
power distribution, lighting, elevators, fire alarms, etc
.Proficiency in
MEP coordination and electrical software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
.Experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Must have knowledge of Abu Dhabi government requirements, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (TAQA Distribution), and other relevant departments.
