Electrical Engineer (construction Background)
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer with a solid construction background to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in various construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical systems for construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and local regulations.
Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software.
Conduct site evaluations to determine the electrical needs of the project and identify potential issues.
Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring they are completed to specifications.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated designs and successful project execution.
Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors regarding project timelines and deliverables related to electrical components.
Perform inspections and testing of electrical installations to ensure proper functionality and compliance.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering and construction.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during construction and after project completion.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 7-10 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on construction projects. 5 years of electrical engineering in the construction field in the UAE Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or Revit. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve design and installation challenges. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Experience coordinating with contractors and managing project timelines is a plus. Knowledge of renewable energy systems is advantageous but not required. Document project progress and maintain accurate records of electrical systems installed.
