. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems across construction sites, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Main Duties
Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
Ensure all electrical works comply with applicable safety codes, regulations, and quality standards.
Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams (civil, mechanical, HVAC, etc.).
Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and as-built drawings.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize electrical systems to ensure reliability and performance.
Manage subcontractors, vendors, and site workforce efficiently.
Implement energy-efficient and sustainable electrical solutions.
Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.
Additional Responsibilities
Provide technical support during design revisions and modifications.
Coordinate with authorities, inspection agencies, and utility providers.
Train and mentor junior engineers and site technicians.
Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety standards and company HSE policies.
Conduct risk assessments and identify potential electrical hazards.
Oversee the safe handling and disposal of electrical materials and waste.
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with civil and structural engineers to ensure electrical layouts are aligned with building frameworks.
Collaborate with mechanical and HVAC teams for equipment power supply, load management, and shaft coordination.
Coordinate with plumbing and fire protection teams to avoid conflicts between electrical conduits and wet systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction-based electrical engineering (residential or mixed-use projects preferred).
Strong knowledge of local and international electrical codes and standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software.
Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
