Job Description

We are looking for a skilled

Electrical Draftsman with experience in MEP and interior fit-out works

for a contracting company in Abu Dhabi to join their team.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate electrical shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination layouts for various construction and fit-out projects. This role requires close coordination with site teams, consultants, and other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed

electrical shop drawings

for lighting, power, fire alarm, data, and low-current systems in line with project specifications and standards. Produce and update

as-built drawings

based on site markups and redlines. Ensure coordination of electrical drawings with other services (HVAC, plumbing, civil, and architectural). Review and interpret MEP drawings, technical specifications, and project scope documents. Ensure all drawings are compliant with

local authority regulations

(e.g., DEWA, SEWA, ADDC, Civil Defence). Coordinate with site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to resolve drawing discrepancies. Maintain organized drawing files, revision logs, and technical documentation. Support project teams with

material take-offs (MTOs)

and

quantity estimation

based on approved drawings.

Requirements:

Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering or Drafting. Minimum

3-5 years of relevant experience

in construction, MEP, and fit-out works. Proficient in

AutoCAD

and familiar with

Revit MEP

Knowledge of

MEP systems

including lighting, power, ELV, fire alarm, and containment systems. Understanding of

construction site practices

and

fit-out execution

. Familiarity with

local codes and authority requirements

(DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Civil Defence). Ability to read and interpret construction and MEP drawings. Strong attention to detail, communication, and coordination skills.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
