Job Summary:

AWS Distributions is seeking a skilled

Electrical Draftsman

to support the electrical design team by preparing detailed electrical drawings and layouts for our commercial and retail facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience with relevant software and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD and other design software. Assist in the development of electrical plans for lighting, power distribution, panel schedules, and low-voltage systems. Update and revise existing drawings based on engineering mark-ups and design changes. Coordinate with electrical engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure accurate drawings. Maintain a library of up-to-date electrical drawings and documentation. Ensure drawings comply with DEWA and UAE regulatory standards. Conduct site visits when necessary to verify installation and gather measurements.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma or certification in Electrical Drafting or related technical field. 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman, preferably in commercial or retail environments. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of Revit, Dialux, or other design tools is a plus. Familiarity with electrical systems including lighting, power layouts, and cable routing. Understanding of UAE electrical standards and DEWA regulations. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
