Perform testing activities with Electrical Engineers/Supervisors during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages.
Carry out hands-on electrical testing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
Inspect and verify installation of electrical panels, switchgear, transformers, UPS, battery panels, ferrule tagging, wiring/cable tightness, wire harnesses, and other electrical equipment.
Respond promptly to commissioning punch lists and assist in close-out activities.
Apply knowledge of isolation, de-isolation, and switching/energization procedures for electrical systems.
Log services performed and prepare regular progress updates for management.
Ensure proper use and storage of tools, test equipment, and materials after site activities.
Strictly adhere to company safety standards, electrical codes, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or vocational training (preferred).
Valid electrician license in good standing.
Experience:
Minimum 6 years' experience as an Electrical Technician.
Proven experience in Oil & Gas projects and commissioning roles.
Hands-on experience in switching programs/energization of electrical systems (LV/MV - 415V to 33kV).
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, testing procedures, and relevant equipment.
Other Requirements:
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Familiarity with local electrical laws, design codes, and technical documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Skilled in using manual and power tools, as well as electrical testing equipment.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company safety regulations.
