Job Title: Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Dept Head: Projects Director
Reporting to: Project Manager
Duration: Full Time
Site Based: Habshan
Working Hours: 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM Including Lunch Break
Working Days: 6 Days per week

About Role:
Ensure proper installation, configuration, and functional testing of electrical systems and equipment.
Verify that installations comply with technical specifications, safety regulations, and operational standards.
Identify and resolve electrical issues during commissioning to guarantee optimal system performance.
Maintain accurate records of the commissioning process, including reports and technical documentation.
Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to align on project objectives and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Develops and delivers essential engineering documents, including philosophies, reports, specifications, data sheets, and technical requisitions.
Performs electrical commissioning tasks aligned with company practices, procedures, and project requirements.
Applies industry-standard methods to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical issues, implementing innovative solutions when necessary.
Collaborates with drafters, technicians, and engineering teams to drive project completion efficiently.
Coordinates with other engineering disciplines and operating units, ensuring seamless integration of commissioning activities.
Leads and executes electrical commissioning procedures, verifying system integrity and operational readiness.
Reviews and familiarizes with scope of work, technical drawings, specifications, and standards related to commissioning and handover processes.
Ensures strict compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Takes full responsibility for commissioning activities, ensuring they adhere to procedural, safety, and project-specific requirements.
Required:
Experience in preparation of documents such as Check sheets, ITR, Red markups, etc. Candidate shall be able to review and interpret project documents such as Datasheets, Single Line Diagrams, Relay Coordination Studies, Power Studies, IO List, Interconnection drawings, Layout drawings, Cause & Effect and Control Philosophy.
Field experience in testing of cables, Insulation Resistance test, CT tests, Numerical Relays, Secondary Injection, Primary Injection, Interlock Checks, MV/LV panels, SCMS panel, Generators, Transformer, Capacitor Bank, Interposing Relay Panels and Stability/Sensitivity Tests.
Should be able to liaise with other discipline engineers for the successful completion of job.
Ability and willingness to work in outdoor weather conditions as experienced in UAE.
BE or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
Proven experience in your respective engineering discipline - Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas Projects
Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety standards
Familiar with testing equipment
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
ADNOC Experience is highly preferred.
