Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the design and drafting of electrical systems, ensuring that all projects meet industry standards and client specifications. This position requires proficiency in various CAD software and a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.

Responsibilities

Create detailed technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and other relevant software. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop system designs for electrical systems. Review and modify existing drawings to improve accuracy and efficiency. Utilize Bluebeam for document management and markup processes. Conduct layout design for electrical wiring and PCB systems. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and reports. Ensure compliance with NEC standards throughout the drafting process. Participate in project meetings to discuss design changes and updates. Support the construction team with accurate drafting and design information.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Creo, and NavisWorks. Strong understanding of electrical engineering concepts and practices. Experience with drafting schematics for electrical systems and layouts. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and their applications in system design. Familiarity with construction processes related to electrical installations. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information.
