Job Description
An E&I helper is responsible for assisting the electricians with basic electrical systems installation, repair, and maintenance.They also supply tools to the electrician, maintain a clean workspace, and power down and store electrical equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance duties
- Clean machinery and equipment, and work area
- Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to technician and engineer
- Adheres to all HSEQ, Finance and Compliance policies and procedures
- Keep inventory of electrical and instrumentation equipment, and report needs to technician/engineer
- Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues
- Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors
- Recognized Degree / Advanced Diploma / Diploma in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering
- 3 years of Electromechanical and/or Instrumentation & Electrical experience
- Knowledge in process instrumentation, power distribution & protection for explosive atmosphere environments.
- Sourcing of, and interaction with vendors of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
