To maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic systems and equipment within the facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:1. Electrical System Maintenance
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, distribution boards, switches, circuit breakers, and other components.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of power supply systems, lighting, motors, and generators.
Diagnose faults in electrical circuits using testing tools (e.g., multimeter, clamp meter, megger).
2. Electronic Equipment Maintenance
Troubleshoot and repair electronic control systems, sensors, timers, relays, PLCs, and automation panels.
Maintain and calibrate electronic instruments such as BMS (Building Management System), HVAC controllers, fire alarm panels, and security systems.
Read and interpret electronic schematics and technical manuals.
3. Testing & Troubleshooting
Perform routine inspections and functional tests of electrical/electronic systems.
Identify faults or inefficiencies and take corrective action to prevent system downtime.
Document findings and provide recommendations for system improvements.
4. Safety & Compliance
Follow electrical safety procedures, LOTO (Lockout-Tagout), and use appropriate PPE.
Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety regulations (e.g., DEWA/SEWA/DM).
Respond to electrical emergencies and support critical power recovery processes.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain maintenance logs, fault reports, and asset history.
Assist in preparing reports on system performance, breakdown analysis, and spare parts usage.
Support inspections and audits by internal teams or regulatory authorities.
6. Coordination & Team Support
Collaborate with mechanical, HVAC, and civil maintenance teams for integrated tasks.
Support installation and commissioning of new electrical/electronic systems or upgrades.
Train junior technicians on electrical/electronic procedures and safety.
Qualifications & Skills:
ITI/Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
3-5 years of experience in electrical/electronic maintenance in FM, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
Strong understanding of low-voltage systems, control circuits, and automation.
Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, and electronic sensors is a plus.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
Good troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
