About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled

E&I Project Engineer

with strong expertise in

220 kV high-voltage cable systems

to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will lead engineering and project execution activities, ensuring compliance with technical standards and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead engineering activities related to

220 kV HV cable systems

including design, analysis, routing, and installation. Review, prepare, and validate technical specifications, calculations, drawings, and reports. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and utilities for smooth project execution. Conduct technical evaluations, vendor assessments, and ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and relevant utility standards. Supervise

testing & commissioning

activities for HV cables (including diagnostics, insulation testing, jointing, and termination oversight). Support project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management. Ensure adherence to HSE standards, quality requirements, and project timelines. Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in

Electrical Engineering

or equivalent.

Experience Requirements:

8-10 years

of experience in

E&I

engineering Minimum 3 to 5 Years UAE / GCC experience. Proven experience in

220 kV high-voltage cable systems

(mandatory). Background in

EPC /MEP / turnkey projects

is highly desirable.

Desired Candidature:

Strong knowledge of high-voltage cable engineering: insulation, thermal ratings, stress analysis, jointing, terminations, diagnostics, and protection coordination. Solid understanding of IEC, IEEE, national grid codes, and utility standards. Experience in technical evaluations, vendor management, and contract execution. Hands-on experience in high-voltage testing and commissioning. Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Proactive mindset and ability to work independently and within teams.
