E&I Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation)
Job Summary:
The E&I Engineer is responsible for the design, specification, and implementation of all electrical power systems and instrumentation & control systems for the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and specify electrical equipment (MV/LV switchgear, transformers, motors, cables).
- Develop and review single-line diagrams, loop diagrams, and control schematics.
- Specify field instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature, level) and control valves.
- Perform load flow, short-circuit, and coordination studies using software like ETAP.
- Develop the overall control system architecture (DCS/PLC/SCADA).
- Review and approve vendor-submitted documents for E&I packages.
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and startup.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng./P.E.) license is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in E&I engineering for industrial plants.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NEC, IEC, ISA, IEEE).
