Job Description

The client aims to implement the ServiceNow Health & Safety (EHS) module in ServiceNow by staying as close as possible to the standard processes available in the EHS module. This document captures the standard out-of-the-box (OOB) business processes provided by ServiceNow Health & Safety (EHS) and translates them into the discovery scope, team roles, and selection criteria required to onboard the right Business Analyst. The intent is to use ServiceNow best practices with minimal customization, maximizing time to value and compliance.
2. Scope & Objectives
Objectives:
Establish a clear process catalog for ServiceNow Health & Safety (EHS).
Define discovery questions and deliverables per process.
Specify BA competencies, interview probes, and a selection scorecard.
Outline integration touchpoints, KPIs, and governance to reduce risk.
3. Process Deep Dives - Discovery & Deliverables
Incident Management
Discovery focus: intake channels (portal, mobile, email), classification schema, severity/priority, routing rules, investigation steps, RCA method, CAPA workflow, regulatory outputs (e.g., OSHA, local).
Deliverables: intake taxonomy, assignment matrix, investigation playbook, CAPA model, reporting spec, data migration plan, security/roles.
Risk Management
Discovery focus: JSA templates per role/task, hazard taxonomy, risk matrix, control hierarchy (elimination ? PPE), review cadence, approvals.
Deliverables: risk register design, JSA templates, control library, assessment schedule, PA metrics.
Case Management
Discovery focus: case types (inquiry, accommodation, RTW), SLAs/OLAs, handoffs to HR/Facilities, privacy constraints (PHI/PII).
Deliverables: case taxonomy, workflow diagrams, SLA definitions, comms templates.
Contractor Management
Discovery focus: onboarding process, credential & training verification, incident/case scope for contractors, integration with vendor master.
Deliverables: contractor data model, onboarding checklist, compliance attestations, reporting spec.
Knowledge & Training
Discovery focus: policy/SOP sources, ownership & review cycle, classification (area/process), acknowledgement & training links.
Deliverables: information architecture (IA), metadata model, lifecycle workflow, migration plan.
Compliance & Analytics
Discovery focus: regulatory regimes (OSHA, ISO 45001, local), evidence model, KPI catalog, PA dashboards, audit export formats. * Deliverables: KPI tree, report catalogue, data quality rules, retention policy.
