Role Summary
The Ecommerce Category Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to optimize category performance through analytics, trading calendars, visual merchandising, and omnichannel execution. The role supports growth initiatives by analysing customer behaviour, market trends, and commercial metrics while ensuring pricing accuracy, product readiness, and strong onsite experiences.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of ecommerce category strategies to maximise revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction
  • Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitive activity to identify growth and profitability opportunities
  • Monitor category performance against sales, margin, and KPI targets and recommend corrective actions
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports, insights, and data-driven action plans
  • Track and analyse key metrics including GPV, UPT, conversion rate, and AOV
  • Conduct daily site checks covering links, product availability, findability, and visual merchandising
  • Review onsite customer journeys and identify opportunities to improve conversion and engagement
  • Update homepage menus, filters, and navigation in line with campaigns, regional nuances, and trends
  • Raise and test bugs, perform UATs, and participate in testing new features and functionalities
  • Create and maintain trading calendars aligned with retail campaigns and regional priorities
  • Brief content requirements to relevant teams and ensure timely delivery
  • Plan and oversee visual merchandising across key categories balancing commercial and brand priorities
  • Align ecommerce pricing and promotions with local retail calendars and ensure accurate execution
  • Monitor competitor pricing and promotional activity
  • Support planning and execution of promotional campaigns to achieve revenue targets
  • Monitor omnichannel fulfilment performance, SLA metrics, and rejection reports, taking corrective actions
  • Identify omnichannel opportunities and risks and support testing of new omnichannel capabilities
  • Provide monthly store-level and warehouse volume forecasts
  • Review size health and inventory performance across categories and products
  • Partner with catalog teams to ensure readiness for key products and seasonal launches
  • Identify products for activation or deactivation based on commercial performance parameters
  • Oversee and guide inventory transfers across markets
  • Manage and mentor direct reports, conduct performance reviews, and support team development
