1 - Description of the Role * Responsible for the delivery of high-quality MEP engineering FLS compliance services to a number of clients of SOCOTEC

• Specialized in the high-quality delivery of MEP FLS of the consultancy areas within SOCOTEC (Firefighting, smoke management, HVAC, Gas, fire protection,\xe2\x80\xa6)
• Exceed client expectations
• Responsible for ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with relevant instructions
• Comply with SOCOTEC\xe2\x80\x99s group policies and procedures
• Clearly recognize the need to develop their professional skills
• Achieve and maintain the highest qualification levels determined by SOCOTEC for the relevant consultancy disciplines
• Identify business opportunities for SOCOTEC and work closely with the Commercial team to develop these

2- Duties and Responsibilities * To service the needs of SOCOTEC clients

• Deliver services within the timeframes dictated by the client and SOCOTEC. Ensure that the Operations Manager is made aware of aware of any problems with delivering to the deadlines
• To take an active and full role in the quality assurance of services delivered by Socotec through document review; supervision; audit and assessment of other staff members; providing support and leadership to the MEP team
• To ensure that all reports are submitted to the office in a timely fashion
• Participate in all Team Meetings held at Head Office
• To ensure that all client work delivered is of a high quality
• To stand out as a good example to all staff
• To undertake such other responsibilities that might reasonably be required by the company
• To form part of the peer review team within SOCOTEC
• Ensure the highest standards of administration

3 - Health and Safety Responsibilities * To comply with Socotec International and client quality, safety and environmental systems and procedures at all times.

• Ensure that all accidents, incidents, near misses or hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed.
• To work within the team to develop a culture where everyone embraces, upholds and accepts responsibility for a safe workplace, a healthy working life, a sustainable environment and the right and duty to intervene.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
• Knowledge of NFPA Code and of local UAE fire and Safety codes
• NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent
• NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health - preferable
• Five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role
• IOSH Membership - preferable
• Quodorat Membership - preferable
