Job Description

Qualification Requirements Electrical Engineering Diploma, or suitable equivalent plus Trade Certificates in Electrical and/ or Instrumentation. Minimum 8 years of working experience as inspection personnel for Oil & Gas projects, 5 years of which must be in the onshore Gas Facilities sector, preferably in LNG. Familiar with electrical and instrumentation specific codes and standards (i.e., IEC, NEC, NFPA, BS, NEMA, NETA, ATEX/ IECEX-60079. etc.). Experience in inspection activities during procurement, fabrication, installation and hook-up, and commissioning of oil and gas production facilities projects. Approved inspector of Qatar Gas, QATAR Energy, QP, SHELL or similar preferred Experienced with offshore Activities

Inspecting electrical and instrumentation installations, including testing and commissioning activities, to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. Conducting surveillance activities during construction, installation, and testing of electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure that work is performed in accordance with project specifications and approved procedures. Reviewing and approving contractor's work plans, method statements, quality control plans, and other related documents to ensure compliance with project specifications and requirements. Participating in pre-inspection meetings with contractors to ensure they understand project requirements and specifications. Reviewing and approving contractors' electrical and instrumentation inspection and test plans, including witnessing and documenting testing activities, as required. Investigating and documenting non-conformities and assisting in the development and implementation of corrective actions. Preparing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly inspection reports to the project team, highlighting any issues or concerns that may affect project progress. Coordinating with other members of the project team to ensure smooth execution of the project, including participating in meetings, providing technical input, and resolving technical issues as needed. Providing guidance and technical support to other project team members, including contractors, to ensure that electrical and instrumentation systems are installed and commissioned in a safe and efficient manner. Conducting inspections of electrical and instrumentation systems, including power distribution systems, control systems, and instrumentation devices, to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. Conducting pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical and instrumentation systems, including functional testing, loop checking, and calibration activities. Conducting inspections of electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, and motors, to ensure proper installation, grounding, and connection of electrical components. Conducting inspections of instrumentation devices, such as sensors, transmitters, and controllers, to ensure proper installation and calibration of these devices. Conducting inspections of communication systems, such as fiber optic cables and communication equipment, to ensure proper installation and testing of these systems. Conducting inspections of fire and gas detection systems, such as smoke detectors, flame detectors, and gas detectors, to ensure proper installation and calibration of these systems. Conducting inspections of hazardous area installations to ensure compliance with hazardous area classification and installation requirements. Conducting inspections of lightning protection systems to ensure proper installation and grounding of these systems. Conducting inspections of cathodic protection systems to ensure proper installation and testing of these systems. Developing and implementing QA/QC plans and procedures in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Ensuring that all Skid package, GCP Panels, AVR panels, Navigation Aid System, Compressor, instrument Air package components meet project specifications, codes, and standards. Conducting inspections and tests on Skid package, GCP Panels, AVR panels, Navigation Aid System, Compressor, instrument Air package components to ensure compliance with project specifications and requirements.
