The Duct Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating duct fabrication, installation, and maintenance activities at the project site. Ensures work is carried out according to project drawings, specifications, and safety standards while leading a team of duct fitters and helpers.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise duct installation, alignment, and assembly as per approved shop drawings.
Plan daily work schedules, allocate manpower, and monitor productivity.
Ensure duct fabrication and installation meet project specifications, SMACNA/ASHRAE standards, and QA/QC requirements.
Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and other trades (electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting) to avoid clashes.
Inspect ductwork, insulation, and accessories before and after installation.
Verify dimensions, levels, and alignments at site prior to installation.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and protection of duct materials.
Monitor and enforce site safety rules among workers.
Prepare daily reports on manpower, progress, and site activities.
Troubleshoot ducting issues and provide technical solutions.
