About the role:

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations team as a Driver / Messenger to be based in Doha, Qatar.


As a Driver / Messenger, you will represent Qatar Airways as the official chauffer at local government offices, ministries, airlines and embassies. You will be responsible for delivering and receiving various department related documents as well as carrying out all tasks in accordance with the department need and situational requirements without error and within set timeframes.

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

Safely transport documents / package to various locations in a timely, and courteous manner. Maintain good level of interpersonal skills while answering questions, interact with senior executives and greet visitors. Perform duties in a confidential manner ensuring confidentiality of any conversations, materials or information heard and /or observed during performance of duties. Required to be on call beyond normal working hours, including weekends and overnight, to transport executives and visitors as needed. Arrive for driving assignments well in advance of scheduled departure time and whenever practical and advance the drop-off location to familiarize himself with conditions that could impact the safety or timely arrival of the executive to the location. Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections. Maintain daily-running charts accurately to have reliable records of mileage done by vehicle. Adhere to all safely requirements particular to the equipment, including Safety Regulations set down by the Government. Professionally represent the company through responsible driving and appearance.

Qualifications

About you

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

High School qualifications or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of job-related experience. Previously experience as an Office /Database Administrator preferred. Basic computer skills (MS Office applications/Outlook) (can be trained to process simple Oracle requisitions). Ability to work fast, accurately and meet tight reporting deadlines. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to process and work with confidential information, self-manage assignments. Demonstrable ability to quickly shift from one task to another to meet support needs. Has the ability to work independently, as well as function as part of a team. Can interact with internal/external high-level positions in a professional manner. Good knowledge of written & spoken English. Valid Qatar driving license (Awareness of traffic regulations).
