About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Driver to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a crucial member of our organization, you will be responsible for safely transporting workers, materials, and equipment to and from various work sites while navigating through Dubai's busy streets and highways.

Operate and maneuver heavy-duty vehicles safely, ensuring the secure transportation of workers, materials, and equipment to job sites Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain optimal condition and safety Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations, including the use of seat belts and observing speed limits Assist in overseeing job site clean-up and ensure all safety protocols are followed Participate in regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to stay updated on best practices Perform basic vehicle maintenance and promptly report any mechanical issues Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks Navigate through various routes in Dubai using maps, GPS systems, and local knowledge Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and colleagues Adapt to changing weather conditions and traffic patterns in Dubai and the UAE

What do we need from you

Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record Proven experience as a heavy-duty driver, preferably in the construction or related industries In-depth knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations, particularly in Dubai and the UAE Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and ability to perform basic repairs Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with GPS systems and map reading Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials and equipment Outstanding time management and organizational skills Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Patience, quick thinking, and good judgment in high-pressure situations Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus Flexibility to work various shifts and occasional overtime as needed Basic computer skills for logging activities and communicating electronically Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and representing the company positively Familiarity with Dubai's road network and traffic patterns * Ability to work effectively in various weather conditions
