Key Responsibilities

Operations

Ensure that drilling operations and related activities are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with the company's QHSSE policies.

Ensure that drilling operations and related activities are carried out in accordance with relevant procedures, best industry practices, or common work practices during their work shift.

Follow the operational instructions of the drilling supervisor. Adapt to changes in soil conditions by appropriate changes in drilling parameters and regulation of the drilling fluid flow and viscosity.

Supervise the operational activities of the drilling assistants during the work shift.

Have a sound operational and functional knowledge of all drilling-related equipment and tools present at the work location.

In case of any fault, breakage or malfunctioning of tools, immediately inform the drilling supervisor.

Maintain an accurate time log for all activities carried out during the work shift.

Maintain an accurate drilling log for the drilling activities carried out during the shift.

Specific Additional Duties

Actively participate in adherence to and improvement of the Company Management System on Quality and HSE-related issues.

Follow the operational instructions of direct and functional supervisors when engaged in vessel mobilization/demobilization or other yard-based activities.

Lead the team of drilling assistants during mobilization/demobilization or other yard-based activities.

Education

High School level with relevant Technical/Trade School Certificate

Working experience - 0-3 years. Min. 2 years experience as Driller or promotion from within the Company.

Languages & Proficiency - Ability to read and write English language

Other

Fully understand the implications for all major symbols used for Technical guidance and for HSE issues at the site, in connection with own work and conduct.
