Job Description

Design Fire Safety Systems

: Create detailed technical drawings and schematics for fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency exits.

Plan Layouts

: Draft floor plans and layouts that comply with fire codes and safety regulations, ensuring safe evacuation routes, fire-resistant materials, and proper placement of fire safety equipment.

Collaborate with Engineers

: Work closely with fire protection engineers, architects, and building planners to ensure that fire safety measures are accurately incorporated into construction projects.

Code Compliance

: Ensure that all designs and plans meet local, national, and international fire safety codes and standards, such as NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) regulations.

Create Documentation

: Prepare technical documentation that outlines the specifications for fire protection systems, including material lists and installation guidelines.

Site Evaluation

: Conduct site visits to gather information on existing buildings or construction projects to assess fire safety needs and ensure proper system design.

Software Utilization

: Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to produce precise drawings and models of fire protection systems and layouts.

Updating Plans

Skills and Qualifications:
