We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Draughtsman

with experience in

fire-rated steel door systems, frames, vison panles, louvers and accessories

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed technical drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD or other relevant software. Knowledge of fire safety regulations, steel fabrication techniques, and architectural detailing is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed

shop drawings

,

fabrication drawings

, and

installation layouts

for fire-rated steel doors, frames, vision panels, and accessories. Interpret architectural and structural drawings and ensure design compliance with project specifications and

fire rating standards

(e.g., UL, BS, NFPA). Coordinate with project engineers, architects, and site teams to gather information and resolve design issues. Ensure that all drawings are up to date and aligned with

code compliance

(e.g., civil defense, building codes). Generate

cutting lists

,

material take-offs

, and

bill of materials

(BOM) for fabrication. Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, clients, or production teams. Maintain document control and drawing revision logs.

Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical or Civil

, Architecture, or related field.

2-5 years

of proven experience in drafting for

fire-rated steel doors

or metal works. Proficient in

AutoCAD

, and knowledge of

Revit, SolidWorks, or other 3D software

is a plus. Familiarity with international fire-rating standards and

hardware integration

(e.g., panic bars, closers, seals). Ability to read and interpret

architectural and engineering plans

. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with

steel door manufacturers

or

fire door fabrication companies

. Understanding of

production/fabrication processes

in a factory setting. Familiarity with

ERP systems

for BOM and drawing management.
