Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting and Designing:

Create detailed technical drawings, plans, and blueprints for civil engineering projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, dams, and other infrastructure. Use computer-aided design (CAD) software like AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools to produce accurate drawings.

Site and Project Analysis:

Interpret engineering designs and specifications to create working drawings. Analyze project requirements and provide technical inputs to engineers and architects.

Plan Preparation:

Prepare plans for construction, including layout plans, elevation, sectional views, and other project details. Ensure drawings include all necessary information, such as dimensions, materials, and construction methods.

Collaboration:

Work closely with civil engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure designs meet project specifications and standards. Coordinate with team members to update designs and incorporate changes as required.

Material and Cost Estimation:

Assist in estimating the quantities of materials required for construction projects. Prepare cost estimates based on designs.

Compliance with Standards:

Ensure that all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Update drawings to reflect changes in codes or project specifications.

Documentation:

Maintain proper documentation of project designs, revisions, and approvals. Prepare as-built drawings to reflect the final constructed project.

Field Support:

Visit construction sites when necessary to gather data or ensure that the construction aligns with the drawings. Resolve technical issues related to drawings during the construction phase.

Quality Assurance:

Review and verify designs and drawings for accuracy and completeness before submission. Ensure that drawings adhere to company standards and client requirements
