Key responsibilities:

Drafting and design:
Create detailed technical drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, using software like AutoCAD.
Quantity surveying:
Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications to generate detailed bills of quantities (BOQs).
Cost estimation:
Prepare initial cost estimates, tender documents, and budgets based on project requirements.
Tender management:
Assist with pre-tendering activities, respond to queries, and help with tender analysis.
Budget management:
Monitor project costs and cash flows, prepare cost reports, and identify cost-saving opportunities or potential value engineering.
Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, architects, and other team members to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.
Documentation and reporting:
Manage and maintain organized drawing files and prepare cost reports and progress billing statements.
Claims and variations:
Prepare and submit claims and variations to clients and subcontractors.
Required skills and qualifications:
Technical skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting and 3D modeling software (e.g., Revit, Sketchup).
Analytical skills:
Strong quantitative and analytical abilities for cost estimation and quantity take-offs.
Industry knowledge:
Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail:
High level of accuracy and precision in all drawings and costings.

Ability to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.
