Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Draftsman & Quantity Surveyor

to join our engineering and interior fit-out team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of

5+ years of proven experience

in preparing detailed shop drawings, 3D visualizations, and quantity take-offs for high-end interior and construction projects. Proficiency in

AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Excel

is essential for this role.

This position plays a key role in bridging design and execution -- transforming concepts into precise technical drawings, supporting site implementation, and preparing accurate material and cost estimations.

Key ResponsibilitiesDrafting & Design Support

Prepare

detailed 2D shop drawings

, layouts, sections, and details based on design concepts and site measurements. Develop accurate

3D models and visualizations

using

SketchUp and 3ds Max

for client presentations and execution reference. Coordinate with the design, engineering, and site teams to ensure drawings align with project specifications and site conditions. Revise drawings promptly based on feedback from engineers, project managers, and consultants. Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and company quality requirements.

Quantity Surveying & Estimation

Prepare accurate

quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost breakdowns

from drawings and specifications. Assist in pricing materials, finishes, and systems in coordination with procurement and project management teams. Monitor site progress to track material usage versus estimates and highlight any variances. Support the tendering and bidding process with clear and detailed cost data. Maintain and update quantity tracking sheets and reports in

Excel

.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in

Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field

. Minimum

5 years of experience

as a Draftsman and/or Quantity Surveyor in an engineering, construction, or interior fit-out company.

Advanced proficiency

in:

AutoCAD

- 2D drafting and detailing

SketchUp

- 3D modeling and conceptual visualization

3ds Max

- professional rendering and presentation quality

Microsoft Excel

- quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost analysis Strong technical knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction methods. Excellent attention to detail, precision, and coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills and proficiency in English (Arabic is an advantage).

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR4,500.00 per month
