Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Draftsman - Infrastructure

with strong experience in

utilities design

, including

stormwater drainage, sewer networks, HDPE piping, manholes, and roadworks

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and high-quality technical drawings and plans that align with engineering standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed

2D and 3D drawings

for infrastructure projects including:

Stormwater and sewerage networks

Utility layouts

(water, electrical, telecom, etc.)

HDPE and other pipe systems

Manholes, chambers, and drainage structures

Road cross-sections, profiles, and alignment

Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design concepts and produce technical drawings accordingly. Ensure all drawings comply with

local regulations, codes, and industry standards

. Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, consultants, and authorities. Maintain and organize project documentation, drawings, and CAD files. Perform site visits when required to gather data and verify drawing accuracy. Assist in the preparation of

as-built drawings

and

shop drawings

. Coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure accuracy and integration of utility networks.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma or Certificate in

Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field

. Minimum

3-5 years of relevant experience

in infrastructure drafting. Strong proficiency in

AutoCAD

,

Civil 3D

, and other relevant CAD software. Solid understanding of

infrastructure utilities

including stormwater, sewerage, and roadworks. Experience working with

HDPE piping systems

, manholes, and drainage details. Familiarity with

local design standards

, specifications, and authority regulations. Ability to read and interpret

engineering drawings

,

survey data

, and

technical reports

. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred:

Experience in

Gulf region infrastructure projects

(if applicable). Knowledge of

GIS

,

Revit

, or other modeling tools is an advantage. Experience with

authority submissions

and approval processes.
