Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Draftsman with experience in fire truck or specialty vehicle design. The ideal candidate will create accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings for custom fire truck bodies and systems, ensuring functional, safe, and code-compliant layouts. The role involves close coordination with design engineers, production, and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed engineering drawings and layouts for fire truck components including pump systems, water tanks, compartments, ladders, electrical systems, and body structures. Interpret customer requirements and translate them into technical drawings for fabrication and assembly. Ensure designs are compliant with international standards for fire apparatus (e.g.,

NFPA 1901

,

EN 1846

). Generate BOMs, technical documents, and revision histories for each project. Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and QA/QC teams to validate designs and support production. Maintain up-to-date project files, and update drawings as per feedback or design changes. Provide design support during prototype development and installation.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of drafting experience in fire truck, emergency vehicle, or heavy vehicle manufacturing. Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar). Knowledge of firefighting vehicle systems including pumps, tanks, hose reels, and auxiliary equipment. Familiarity with fire apparatus regulations such as

, or local equivalents. Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Strong attention to detail, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
