Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

1) Create detailed shop drawings and technical drawings for joinery and furniture projects.

2) Coordinate with the foreman, carpenters, and production team to ensure seamless execution of designs.

3) Conduct site inspections to take accurate measurements and ensure feasibility of designs.

4) Handle material procurement for joinery-related items, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

5) Modify and update drawings as per project requirements and client feedback.

6) Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and material specifications.

7) Work closely with designers, engineers, and project managers to achieve design and functional goals.

8) Keep records of drawings, revisions, and technical documents for easy reference.

9) Optimize designs for cost-effective production without compromising quality.

10) Use AutoCAD or other drafting software to create precise 2D and 3D drawings.

Desired candidate profile

1) Diploma/Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.

2) 3+ years of experience in joinery/furniture drafting. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and 3Ds Max

3) Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, furniture joinery, and materials.

4) Experience in handling material take-offs and procurement.

5) Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings.

6) Good communication skills to liaise with vendors, suppliers, and project teams.

7) Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and coordination skills.

8) Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

1) Experience in bespoke/custom furniture manufacturing.

2) Knowledge of metal, glass, and marble integration in furniture designs.

3) Previous experience working with factory or site-based teams.
