Position Summary:

We at Emarat Aloula is currently seeking a highly skilled

Civil & Electrical Draftsman

with a strong background in

infrastructure and utility projects

within the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing detailed drawings, layouts, and as-built documentation for civil and electrical systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance with project standards, and timely delivery of design outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and develop detailed civil and electrical drawings (layouts, sections, details, SLDs, etc.) based on engineering input and project specifications. Draft infrastructure plans such as roads, manholes, trenches, underground utilities, cable routes, duct banks, and substations. Produce shop drawings, IFC drawings, and as-built drawings in compliance with authority standards (DEWA, TRANSCO, FEWA, ADM, etc.). Coordinate with civil and electrical engineers to ensure drawing accuracy and technical completeness. Update and revise drawings based on redlines, site modifications, and engineering mark-ups. Maintain organized drawing files and proper version control of all documents. Assist in preparing drawing submittals, technical documentation, and drawing logs. Ensure all drawings adhere to company CAD standards and project-specific guidelines. Liaise with consultants, site teams, and document controllers as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma in Civil, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical certification. Minimum 7+ years of experience in the UAE, preferably within infrastructure and utility sectors. Proven experience in drafting for civil structures (e.g., foundations, trenches, roads) and electrical systems (e.g., substation layouts, cable routing, SLDs). Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D), with working knowledge of other software such as MicroStation, Revit, or Civil 3D being an advantage. Familiar with UAE utility standards and authority requirements (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, FEWA, ADM). Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver under tight deadlines.
