Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled

2D Draftsman

with expertise in interior design drawings and detailing. The role involves preparing accurate technical drawings, layouts, and shop drawings based on design concepts and project requirements. The candidate will work closely with designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure drawings are precise, compliant with standards, and ready for execution on-site. Attention to detail, proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar software), and a solid understanding of interior design and joinery detailing are essential for this position.

Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed 2D drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details for interior design projects. Convert conceptual sketches and design ideas into accurate technical drawings. Coordinate with designers, project managers, and site teams to ensure drawings are aligned with project requirements. Update and revise drawings as per feedback, site conditions, and design changes. Maintain and organize drawing files and project documentation. Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and company guidelines. Support the design team in preparing presentations and documentation when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Proven experience as a 2D Draftsman in the interior design / fit-out industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD knowledge of other software (e.g., Photoshop, SketchUp) is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings. Ability to understand and interpret design concepts and translate them into technical drawings. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Preferred:

Previous experience in

UAE/GCC joinery or fit-out companies

. Experience in residential, commercial, or hospitality interior projects is an advantage.
