Responsibilities

Equipment Operation

Operate bulldozers (dozers) to move earth, rocks, and other materials. Perform tasks such as grading, leveling, clearing land, backfilling, and pushing materials.

Site Preparation

Prepare and maintain construction or excavation sites according to project plans. Create roadways, embankments, or slopes as directed by site supervisors or engineers.

Machine Inspection

Perform daily pre-start inspections to check blade, tracks, fluids, and engine systems. Identify and report any malfunctions or safety issues promptly.

Safety Compliance

Operate dozer in compliance with site safety rules and traffic guidelines. Use seatbelts, alarms, and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Maintenance Support

Assist with routine maintenance like greasing, oil checks, and minor adjustments. Keep the dozer clean and ready for the next shift or task.

Work Accuracy

Grade surfaces and spread materials with precision as per design or supervisor instructions. Avoid damage to underground services, structures, or site boundaries.

Communication

Coordinate with other heavy equipment operators, ground staff, and supervisors. Use hand signals or radios to maintain safe and smooth operations.

Log & Reporting

Maintain logs of operating hours, fuel usage, and completed tasks. Report any delays, accidents, or incidents immediately to the site manager.

Environmental Awareness

Operate the machine in a way that minimizes dust, noise, and damage to the surrounding area. Follow procedures for erosion control or working near protected areas.

Teamwork

Work efficiently with the construction or earthworks team to complete tasks on schedule. Assist with other duties on-site when not operating the dozer.
