Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Health Assessments & Medical Care

Conducting pre-employment medical examinations for zoo staff.

Performing regular health screenings, including vaccinations (e.g., rabies, tetanus).

Monitoring and managing chronic health conditions that may impact job performance.

Providing first aid and medical treatment for minor injuries (e.g., bites, scratches).

Treating and documenting injuries from animal interactions (bites, scratches, zoonotic infections).

Managing exposure incidents related to chemicals, biohazards, and animal diseases.

Coordinating with hospitals and specialists for severe cases.

Educating staff on zoonotic disease risks and prevention (e.g., rabies, tuberculosis, avian flu).

Ensuring compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) use.

Collaborating with veterinarians to prevent disease transmission between animals and humans.

Conducting workplace hazard assessments related to animal care, outdoor environments, and heavy lifting.

Ensuring staff follow hygiene protocols after handling animals.

Advising on ergonomic practices to prevent strain injuries.

Organizing mental health support programs for staff working in stressful environments.

Promoting fitness and wellness initiatives tailored to physically demanding zoo work.

Encouraging hydration and heat stress management for outdoor workers.

Assisting in emergency response plans for animal attacks or containment breaches.

Training staff in first aid and CPR.

Coordinating with external emergency services for medical evacuations if necessary.

Maintaining employee health records, including vaccination and exposure history.

Reporting workplace injuries and illnesses to zoo management and health authorities.

Documenting incidents related to animal-borne diseases or hazardous material exposure.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED5,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Al-Ayn: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
