The dog trainer's responsibilities include evaluating dogs' dispositions and temperaments, providing regular progress updates to management, and teaching others how to reinforce good behavior.

JOB LOCATION: FUJAIRAH, UAE

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Dog Seminars / Certificate / Dog School Attendance. 3+ years' experience working as a dog trainer. Experience working with dogs

KEY SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

A deep and genuine respect for dogs. An enquiring mind. Good observational skills. A "can do" attitude. Thorough understanding of canine behaviour. Training and qualifications for himself Knowledge of different dog breeds Knowledge of dog commands Ability to create a plan of action Create a training plan for the dog Ability to work well with any type of dog Observe and read the dog's body language Understand dog's needs Teach commands to the dog Be patient with a stubborn dog To be able to teach someone else how to reinforce good behaviour Observe and inform their team leader or/and the Vet team in case of any health issues noticed on the dog's behaviour Dog competitions is preferred Ability to identify problems Good time management as the dog trainer will need to make sure that all dogs are taken care of and trained effectively. They also need to be able to multitask by working with several different dogs. How to assess a dog's behaviour and structure Good Communication skills Case studies - learning from other people's experiences Practical exercises - training dogs with different personalities and different abilities.
