Position Summary:
The
Document Controller
will be responsible for maintaining all project documentation, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and proper control of documents throughout the project lifecycle. The position is based
at the project site in Ras Al Khaimah
, and the candidate will coordinate closely with project engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain a systematic filing and document control system (both hard and soft copies).
Receive, log, track, and distribute drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFI's, correspondences, and other project documents.
Maintain updated records of all drawings and other construction documents and ensure that these are kept in safe custody.
Control the numbering, filing, sorting, and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents produced by the project team.
Ensure that only the latest revisions of approved documents are distributed and used on-site.
Coordinate with consultants and contractors for submission and approval of documents.
Support QA/QC and site teams in document-related tasks to ensure compliance with ISO and company standards.
Prepare weekly and monthly document control reports for management review.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of project documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in
Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline
.
Minimum
3-6 years of experience
as a
Document Controller
in the
construction industry
(UAE experience preferred).
Hands-on experience in
Aconex
,
Primavera Contract Management
, or other
Document Management Systems (DMS)
.
Strong proficiency in
MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
