The Document Controller is responsible for managing, tracking, and maintaining all project documentation related to
RTA infrastructure projects
, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with
RTA standards, consultant requirements, and company procedures
.
Key ResponsibilitiesDocument Control & Management
Establish and maintain an organized document control system for
RTA road and infrastructure projects
.
Receive, register, distribute, and archive all incoming and outgoing project documents.
Maintain document registers for
drawings, technical submittals, correspondence, permits, and approvals
.
RTA & Consultant Coordination
Manage submission and tracking of documents through
RTA portals and consultant systems
.
Ensure timely submission of
IRs, WIRs, MIRs, method statements, shop drawings, and as-built documents
.
Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and RTA representatives to ensure proper approvals and revisions.
Version Control & Compliance
Ensure correct document numbering, version control, and revision history as per RTA standards.
Prevent use of obsolete or superseded documents on site.
Ensure all documents comply with
RTA specifications, project quality plans, and ISO procedures
.
Reporting & Records
Generate weekly and monthly document status reports for Project Management.
Maintain logs for approvals, comments, and resubmissions.
Support project close-out by organizing
handover and as-built documentation
.
Confidentiality & Data Security
Maintain confidentiality of project information and sensitive documents.
Ensure proper backup and secure storage of electronic and hard-copy records.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in
Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
.
3-6 years of experience
as a Document Controller in UAE construction projects.
Mandatory experience in RTA projects
.
Strong knowledge of
RTA documentation procedures and approval workflows
.
Proficiency in
EDMS, Aconex, Asite, AutoCAD Viewer, MS Office
.
Familiarity with
ISO 9001 documentation requirements
.
