As a Dive Medic, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to individuals involved in underwater activities such as commercial diving, and underwater construction. Your role will be crucial in assessing and managing medical emergencies that may arise in the underwater environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of divers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-dive medical assessments to ensure divers are fit for underwater activities.
• Provide on-site medical support for dive operations, including emergency response.
• Assess and treat diving-related injuries and illnesses, such as decompression sickness and barotrauma.
• Collaborate with dive teams and other medical professionals to develop and implement emergency response plans.
• Conduct training sessions on diving medicine, safety procedures, and first aid for diving personnel.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for all dive-related incidents.
• Stay updated on advancements in diving medicine and contribute to the development of safety protocols.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

Medical degree from a recognized institution.

Valid medical license and certification in diving medicine (Diving Medical Officer or equivalent).

Holds an IMCA-recognized surface-supplied qualification as set out in the IMCA international code of practice for offshore diving. Valid HSE part 1 or equivalent. Current or valid DMT certificate. Current & valid

offshore medical certificate. Current & valid offshore survival certificate for the geographical area of work.

Stamped & signed dive log book.

Experience in emergency medicine, hyperbaric medicine, or related fields.

Advanced life support (ALS) certification.

Knowledge of diving physics, physiology, and dive table utilization.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in challenging and dynamic environments.
Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Dive Medic or in a related role.
• Familiarity with commercial diving operations.
• Certification in hyperbaric chamber operations
