Job Summary:

Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company\xe2\x80\x99s Direct to Consumer (DTC) video entertainment service targeted to families and fans of our iconic content and brands. The service is built around five key content brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic & Star), with an appealing and easy-to-use interface accessed across multiple platforms including TVs, mobile devices, and gaming consoles. The Disney+ MENA team is responsible for the overall commercial performance and the day-to-day operations of Disney+ across the MENA region. This includes marketing, customer acquisition and retention, partnerships, customer engagement, implementation/localisation of the global content strategy, analytics and research. This is a permanent contract and this job will require you to be onsite 4 days a week. Overview of the role Within this team, the Disney+ Partner Growth Manager role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of partners to drive subscriber growth. This role will be accountable for quarterly and weekly subscriber acquisition targets and ongoing partner subscriber engagement and retention, working closely with the Disney+ team, the Affiliates team & Partner Marketing.
The Opportunity & Responsibilities:
Launch:
  • Work closely with the Affiliates team on upcoming Telco/Media* partnership deals, where you will be consulted on operational & product elements prior to contract closure.
  • Take over partner relationship from Affiliates team after deal closure (ie. contract signature)
    • This includes obtaining a full understanding of agreed commercials & legal obligations with partner, as well as any changes throughout the partnership that are negotiated by the Affiliates Team
  • Align on timelines with technical teams to ensure delivery of integrations with partners.
  • Construct a thorough project plan for partner launch, encompassing all elements of the launch including stakeholders, actions, dependencies, risks, mitigations, checkpoints, etc.
  • Ensure internal & external governance is in place for alignment on the launch project of Disney+ with Partners, working closely with partner and internal stakeholders including Partner Marketing & Regional/Tech counterparts.

  • For Non-Telco/Media deals (eg. Digital [Careem, Talabat, etc] & OEM [Samsung, LG, etc], you will own and lead end-to-end

Planning:
  • Agree on annual targets and plans with existing partners, working closely with Disney+ trading stakeholders
  • Set quarterly and weekly subscriber sales targets and engagement & retention targets with partners
  • Ensure rolling roadmap is in place with partner, encompassing promotional activities, marketing campaign (in sync w/Partner Marketing Manager), upcoming titles, and all other initiatives.
  • Work closely with our partners to drive maximum \xe2\x80\x98sell-through\xe2\x80\x99 of Disney+, utilising all levers available including optimising customer journeys, effective execution of promotional (redemption-based) campaigns, launch partner staff incentive schemes and maximising our presence in all partner channels
Trading & Governance
  • Oversee, analyze & articulate the trading performance of Disney+ partnerships, including sign-ups, bundle-activations, engagement, churn, content consumption, etc.
  • Monitor all operational aspects of partnership including customer support and technical KPIs (streaming, buffering, OTP, etc) from both Disney+ and partner perspective.
  • Establish post-launch governance with internal stakeholders & partners (including occasionally, management) to align on results, learnings, upcoming plans & risks/mitigations

Areas of Accountability
  • Partner subscribers: delivery against ambitious annual and quarterly subscriber sales targets through effective marketing planning and optimisation of the customer journey to ensure high activation rates.
  • Partner subscriber retention: delivery against industry benchmarks to ensure high engagement rates and retention.
  • Timely governance & cross-functional alignment (recurring)

The Experience & Skills We Require From You:
  • This role requires proven experience and track record in delivering commercial results through building and managing telecom, device and digital partnerships, with the ability to develop clear local strategy; and work effectively and collaboratively with peers in London and Dubai
  • Experience in & deep understanding of the MENA Region (in-market KSA experience is a must)
  • Being fluent both in Arabic and English is a must.
  • 6-8+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in delivering sales targets and material growth through B2B partnerships
  • Proven ability to build deep collaborative relationships with external partners
  • The right collaborative, influencing and relationship building skills to be effective in a large global matrix organisation
  • Commercial mindset and data-driven approach to delivering results (analytical mindset)
  • Project Management experience
