Job Summary:

We are seeking a Disaster Management Expert to provide specialized expertise in disaster risk reduction, emergency preparedness, and crisis management for development projects. This role operates on a call-off consultancy basis, delivering disaster management services and ensuring resilience across multiple projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive disaster risk management strategies Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis Design emergency preparedness and response plans Provide technical expertise on disaster risk reduction measures Support capacity building initiatives in disaster management Coordinate with emergency response agencies and stakeholders Monitor and evaluate disaster management programs

Required Qualifications:

University degree in Management, Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field from a recognized institution Minimum 15 years of professional experience in disaster management Strong knowledge of disaster risk reduction frameworks and methodologies Professional certifications in disaster management (preferred) Experience with international disaster response operations

Preferred Experience:

Infrastructure development projects Buildings and construction sector experience Humanitarian and emergency response Fit-out and rehabilitation projects Development projects in economic, health, and education sectors
