Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in pre-sales, risk advisory, or financial technology roles within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong domain expertise in banking regulations including Basel III (Capital & Liquidity), IRRBB, ICAAP, and IFRS 9, with ability to map requirements to Moody's solutions.
  • Proven experience conducting product demonstrations, leading proof-of-concepts, and responding to RFPs/RFIs for complex enterprise software.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a consultative approach to client engagement and problem solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data and technology concepts including SaaS platforms, software architecture, SQL, and programming languages such as Python is preferred.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees and/or professional certifications (CFA, FRM, PRM) are preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Drive pre-sales solution alignment by mapping Moody's risk and finance offerings to client regulatory needs.
  • Analyze client workflows, business processes, and regulatory challenges to design tailored solution approaches.
  • Collaborate with frontline sales to qualify opportunities and lead pre-sales engagements from discovery to solution demonstration.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations, live demos, and proof-of-concepts that illustrate solution value and business impact.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on regional banking regulations and trends, proactively informing clients on how Moody's solutions support compliance and strategy.
  • Partner with product management teams to channel client feedback, contribute to roadmap discussions, and drive enhancements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market developments, competitors, and Moody's evolving product suite.
  • Contribute to RFP/RFI responses, ensuring alignment with client needs and regulatory priorities.

Our Sales Engineering and Pre-Sales team is responsible for enabling client success through consultative technical sales and regulatory solution alignment.
