Currently holding a portfolio of more than 14 Gigawatt of installed Power under LTSA, and with 12 Gigawatt more under development, NMES currently performs all required outage services (minor, medium, major, CI, HGPI, MI) on 25 Gas Turbines, 26 Steam turbines and 51 Generators.
NMES supports its end-users by providing OEM level quality services and exceptional value creation through highly skilled and trained outage personnel (outage managers, Field Service Engineers, Technicians, specialists) and by applying innovative, downtime reducing services such as:
  • Spark erosion technology
  • On-site machining solutions for ST and GT casings, bearing pedestals, burner inserts, tip grinding
  • On Site Rotor Machining and Low speed Balancing
  • On site blasting, coating and curing of Compressor parts (blades/Vanes) with Aluminum Chromate coatings.
  • Re-engineering services and pump spare manufacturing.
NMES has established full-service subsidiaries in KSA, Oman and UAE and maintains a continuous presence of personnel and equipment in over 10 countries, with full-service workshops in the United Arab Emirates and Oman, and an additional facility under development in KSA to assure service readiness everywhere we do business Objective Lead the Regional Project Management team to streamline communications and negotiations with the customers while aiming to provide cost effective and high-quality services to improve Field Service Profit, while meeting Safety and quality KPI\xe2\x80\x99 s, by ensuring overall cost efficiencies, profitability, optimization of resources and client satisfaction. Strategy & Plans
  • Contribute to the NMES business in line with the global NOMAC and ACWA Power strategy to ensure alignment with senior management as well as with other internal and external interfacing departments.
  • Regularly report to the VP on the operational activities of department, challenges and issues faced, mitigations taken, etc. as required, to keep him informed and updated on the OPS department\xe2\x80\x99s activities and profitability.
  • Timely submission of Satisfaction Survey and Outage Completion Certificate.
  • Post Outage Evaluation and Timely submission of Outage Report.
People Management Manage the effective achievement of the team\xe2\x80\x99s objectives through setting individual as well as group objectives, managing performance, developing the team and providing formal and informal feedback to maximise overall performance, engagement and motivation. Budget Management Budget Management Contribute to the preparation of the department\xe2\x80\x99s budget and manage and monitor the financial performance against the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon. Outage/LTSA overall management
  • Work with the O&M regional heads and regional portfolio managers, to optimize the outage planning across the fleet as to ensure the best utilization rate of the field service resources.
  • Follow up and ensure timely completion of all aspects of the Projects in terms of estimation, planning, procurement, logistics (accommodation, transportation, flights, Visa\xe2\x80\x99s), end calculation, Project close out and invoicing.
  • Provide the customer with timely quotations for extra works, scope changes, and unplanned interventions.
Execution
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of the outages by monitoring daily progress reports from Regional Project GM\xe2\x80\x99s, resolving escalated issues and managing key stakeholders / service providers to ensure the work is completed as per the work control procedures, HSSE and quality standards.
  • Ensure escalated issues are closed out timely, efficiently and with an aim to reconcile.
  • Oversee and ensure the Overall schedule is updated, based on the outages progress, individual project conditions and adjustment required by different project teams and contractors, to ensure timely completion as per the plan, while highlighting any deviations to the VP.
  • Verify the daily outage coordination meeting minutes to ensure optimal client satisfaction and timely escalation and resolution of issues.
  • Review daily and weekly outage management reports highlighting performance against the objectives, to ensure the management / stakeholders are aware of the execution of the projects and any escalated issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
  • Review, together with the Technical Director, the VP and the relevant RPGM, the quality control inspections according to quality control plan and acceptance of the equipment, to ensure the inspections are carried out as per the requirements and NMES procedures.
  • Manage/oversee RCA\xe2\x80\x99s related to NMES contracted outages and provide RCA results to all stakeholders.
Post Execution Reporting Post Execution Reporting
  • Review the final outage report including the entire process of outage preparation, execution, jobs statistics, scope of work, comparison of planned versus achieved outage goals and critical milestones, major problems encountered & corrective actions taken, good practices and lessons learned, to ensure it is used as a means for continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with the Customer\xe2\x80\x99 s representative to ensure total client satisfaction and a swift release of payment.
Technical Expertise
  • Act as a centre of expertise on Business and process Management, providing administrative insights and best practices and having commercial discussions with vendors and clients to ensure their interests are served for the best interest of the entire organisation.
  • Keep abreast of the latest technological innovations, new equipment design and functionality and leading practices in the field and evaluate their relevance and usage from NOMAC\xe2\x80\x99s perspective to implement as best practices across our organisation and operations.

  • Develop and oversee the creation and implementation of the required policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of the function so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements and standards are fulfilled.

  • Direct the compliance of all relevant health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the function to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.
Related Assignments
  • Perform any other duties which the organization may require to be carried out.

Skills

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree holder in technical or business management field (Electro-Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/BBA/MBA) or higher.
Experience
  • 15 years (20 years in case of Diploma) experience in industrial field services operational management, 10 years minimum in a leadership role.
  • Project Management experience of large outage projects (Minimum 50+ pax) is required.
  • Experience in LTSA management of Steam / Gas Turbine, Generators, or other large critical equipment outages is required.
  • Experience in Middle east is required.
  • Experience in Project Management in (O)OEM or industry leading company is strong advantage.
