Legal Director, Projects and Infrastructure Taylor Root is currently seeking a Legal Director to work for a leading projects and infrastructure company, who have a focus on providing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services to infrastructure developers across power and utilities sectors. The successful candidate will report directly to the General Counsel, and be responsible for leading the legal function of the business. You\xe2\x80\x99ll work closely with the management team to provide legal advice and support on a wide range of matters, including contracts, commercial agreements, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide legal advice and support to the business on all legal matters related to projects and infrastructure, with a focus on EPC contracts across power and utilities sectors.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, commercial agreements, and other legal documents related to the company\xe2\x80\x99s business activities.
  • Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage and resolve disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external clients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Manage and mentor the legal team, providing guidance and support on legal matters.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
  • A qualified lawyer with a minimum of 10+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in projects and infrastructure, with a focus on EPC contracts across power and utilities sectors.
  • You\xe2\x80\x99ll need a strong backbone of either law firm or in-house experience (ideally both).
  • Experience working in the Middle East region is preferable.
  • Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • The role will be based in Dubai.
