The DGCEO Office and Business Operations Department is central to providing executive management decision making, execution of key strategic and business projects and responsibility for oversight, governance and compliance of executive decision making via the OG decision making committees. The department also has responsibility for group wide business performance and will drive value in support of the DGCEO, as well as the core GCXO leadership team with insights, analysis, facilitation and management of core performance management and related initiatives as well as supporting the evolution of OG\xe2\x80\x99s transformational journey. The department reports to the Deputy Group Chief Executive Office. The Director \xe2\x80\x93 Performance Management (GCC), will be a member of the DGCEO Office and Performance Management team. The role reports to the Senior Director, Operational Excellence and Performance Management and also provides additional support to the DGCEO Office, as well as interfacing with GCXO\xe2\x80\x99s and OpCo CEO/CxO\xe2\x80\x99s as and when required, mainly focused on performance management and governance related activity. The role will provide core stakeholder support with active performance management, tracking and co-ordination of Operating Company performance indicators on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, including the performance framework evolution and management of data through reporting, analysis and tracking/follow up of corrective actions and strategic initiatives, providing regular and correlative performance analysis insights/recommendations and problem solving to line management and the broader operational management team as required. The role will further be responsible for providing active performance management of Ooredoo Group and other smaller business units. In addition to active performance management, the role will be required to provide key support to the evolution of core strategic enablers such as OG automation/ digital transformation as well as PMO or DGCEO Office related activity.


Role Profile
Performance Management
  • Actively support the Head of DGCEO Office/Senior Director, Operational Excellence & Performance Management with regards overall performance management of both OG and OpCo related activity, to include but not limited to;
  • Responsible for proactive performance analysis of assigned OpCo\xe2\x80\x99s across all key performance indicators, highlighting trends, risks, early performance issues, supported by effective problem solving recommendations and follow up
  • Responsible for proactive performance analysis of assigned OpCo\xe2\x80\x99s versus market competition, highlighting trends, risks, early intervention needs and also supporting proactive problem solving
  • Responsible to monitor performance KPI\xe2\x80\x99s and strategic/tactical initiatives (i.e. bankable plan, Wave etc\xe2\x80\xa6), ensuring proactive implementation, mitigation and problem solving/replacement (pipeline) as required to support target achievement.
  • Responsible to provide regular performance reports/insights, risks and mitigation to line management to ensure proactive operational oversight of assigned OpCo\xe2\x80\x99s (i.e. escalations needed, capability shortfalls etc)
  • Support definition of OpCo KPI\xe2\x80\x99s, Group and OpCo strategic projects to be tracked, as well as reporting requirements. Ensure Digital Journey and transformation is fully integrated into OG and OpCo performance tracking.
  • Support Performance Framework evolution including strategic and tactical refresh/purpose and data evolution/extraction/accuracy from Ooredoo Group OpCo\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Coordinate assigned OpCo performance KPIs and strategic projects reporting with Group functional teams (including data requirements and OpCo clarification as required)
  • Consolidate periodic OpCo/OG financial/operational and strategic projects reports from OpCos and OG Functions
  • Co-ordinate with Group Strategy regular market related competitive research in support of active performance management.
  • Co-ordinate and manage monthly and quarterly OpCo OG-internal cross functional performance alignments for assigned OpCo\xe2\x80\x99s e.g. executive briefing, performance review agenda setting in support of line management.
  • Support facilitation of quarterly OG, as well as monthly and quarterly OpCo performance reviews as required
  • Support and lead adhoc performance related analysis and performance follow ups on behalf the DGCEO Office
  • Liaise with Group functional teams to set and plan corrective measures, monitoring of the implementation and reporting on progress of corrective measures and turn around programmes
  • Liaise regularly with Senior Director, Performance Management & Operational Excellence and OpCo CEO\xe2\x80\x99s/CxO\xe2\x80\x99s on performance related turnaround initiatives/actions.
Management Committees and other Sub Committees
  • Support with management of any governance or performance related activities under the management of the DGCEO office that may be required.
  • Responsible for co-ordination and support in closing Group Internal Audit points as assigned
Opex and Capex efficiency
  • Support Opex and Capex efficiency programmes as required
Systems
  • Support the implementation of the OG business digital transformation and associated tools
  • Supervise monthly data extractions from OG operating companies to ensure consistent and regular business intelligence data is availableLead on additional systems efficiency developments as required
Experience
Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge
  • Minimum 12 years relevant work experience
  • Must have held a management position in Telco (finance, commercial/operational management)
  • Strong demonstrable cross functional financial, commercial and operational (tech) analytical experience is essential (must deep able to demonstrate strong cross functional/business analytical understanding)
  • Sufficient financial knowledge to understand business cases and consequences on P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Consulting experience in holistic performance management highly desirable
  • Solid experience in supporting group functions to the CxO level in tracking, managing and implementing corrective actions/problem solving
  • Creation and management of KPI\xe2\x80\x99s at an operational and management level
  • Stakeholder management to CxO level
  • Experience with managing in matrix and \xe2\x80\x98virtual team\xe2\x80\x99 environments
  • Significant knowledge of, and experience in, the telecom industry
  • Previous experience in Middle-East and Asia a plus
