Director of Transportation
One of the Multibillion-Dollar Dubai-based Retail and FMCG conglomerates is searching for a Director of Transportation for their GCC operations. The position will be reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, or coordinate the transportation operations within an organization or the activities of organizations that provide transportation services.
- Manage the transportation of goods and supplies for a large organization using existing procedures; review and recommend improvements to procedures to ensure on-time delivery of goods and supplies.
- Develop and/or deliver budget plans with guidance from senior colleagues
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of the organization’s inventory strategy and program to secure supplies and to minimize cost.
- Lead and manage large complex warehouse(s) and stores, reviewing current procedures and develop new procedures when required to ensure all goods and supplies are stored and recorded appropriately.
