About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Jumeirah's Group and Corporate office for an experienced Director of Sustainability, the main responsibilities of this role include:

Strategy execution and programme coordination

• Develop Company ESG/CSR implementation roadmap & oversee execution of objectives through coordination with relevant departments.
• Co-create the Dubai Holding sustainability strategy for the Group.
• Drive the implementation of Group level sustainability policies and processes.
• Benchmark the company's sustainability performance against its peers and identify and recommend areas of improvements.
• Integrate ESG risks and opportunities into existing businesses processes and planning cycles with relevant functions- ensure appropriate challenge & articulation of value creation through ESG management.
• Ensure standardised ESG training and capability building to create awareness on key sustainability issues, trends and Company strategy.
• Represent Jumeirah Group in the group level governance of CSR activities.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting and Assurance

• Establish sustainability data governance, audit requirements, processes and reporting to ensure accuracy, consistency, reliability and completeness of collected data on ESG performance metrics. Aligning with Dubai Holding requirements.
• Oversee collection and analysis of company-wide data on sustainability initiatives, programs and key performance indicators and provide senior management with relevant analysis and recommendations on sustainability programs.
• Ensure measurement of the company's carbon emissions & inventory in line with International best practice.
• Lead the preparation Jumeirah's input into Dubai Holding's annual Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report in line with international reporting standards and frameworks such as Global.
• Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety, or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in sustainability related roles.
• Experience in ESG / HSE risk management and assurance as well as environmental management, including GHG emissions management.
• Proven record of Sustainability CSR/ESG strategy development and execution.
