Director of Sales, Middle East

As a Director of Sales, you are a vital part of the Knowland sales team, responsible for generating revenue by selling our MICE business intelligence platform offerings to hotels, management companies and/or ownership groups in your designated region. You will be responsible for proactively prospecting new business and strategically managing opportunities through the full sales cycle to maximize revenue through new sales. You are a self-starter, at ease in a fast-paced environment and comfortable adapting and applying your proven sales skills in our high-growth global markets. The position is fully remote and requires 25%-50% travel based on business need including regular travel in the region, and occasional international travel to attend trade events or company gatherings. This role reports into the Enterprise Director of Sales EMEA & APAC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategically manage assigned territory to exceed goals and quotas, building a sustainable pipeline to drive new business at both property and above property cluster level.
  • Develop, strategize, negotiate and close sales by demonstrating solution value within assigned territory.
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to strategically develop and present compelling solutions based on Knowland’s suite of offerings.
  • Represent Knowland in customer meetings, product demonstrations, and industry conferences when applicable.
  • Create tailored proposals, presentations and data snapshot files to support business meetings and consultations.
  • Lead negotiation of prices and agreements and understand legal ramification of contracts.
  • Accurately forecast sales activity and pipeline management through proper use of sales tools, such as Salesforce CRM.
  • Create positive working relationships with customers and prospects to understand client needs and drive sales as well as customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide live, interactive online demonstrations of the Knowland platform and our business intelligence.
  • Act as an internal advocate for your assigned accounts and regions, and partner internally with other departments to improve product and services.
  • Regularly feedback data operations on data quality and quantity in assigned territory.
  • Attend internal meetings with key stakeholders, such as Finance, Data Operations, Product, Leadership as required.
  • For the first six months of the role, there might be a requirement to negotiate customer renewals or provide tailored in training to certain accounts.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Demonstrated success in field sales role in hospitality in a hotel and / or in a software/technology sector with a proven ability to meet sales goals; 5-7 years of experience.
  • Prior experience working in a SaaS company, or software sales is preferred; experience in the hotel/hospitality industry is a must.
  • Exceptional presentation and consultative selling skills with proven success in contract negotiation and closing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a polished, professional presence with proven ability to build strong client relationships from the C-level through software user level of target clients.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is required; experience using Salesforce.com CRM is an advantage.
  • Language skills: English and Arabic is required, any other languages are a plus.
  • Skilled at establishing strong professional relationships in an international environment, comfortable with networking.
  • Organized, determined, solution orientated and data-savvy
  • VISA to allow travel across the Middle East, such as to KSA and Qatar is required.
