Our client, an exciting government entity, is looking for a Director of Planning to join their team in Abu Dhabi. The Director will be responsible for developing strategic plans, supervising their implementation and commitment, prioritizing the needs of proposed projects, developing support plans and enhancing the role and participation of strategic partners.

Please note that this is an Emiratisation role and only UAEN with a Family Book will be contacted.

The role:

- Preparing the draft operational plan and estimating the budget of the activities and ensuring that it is in conformity with the plan of the sector
- Carry out its tasks in the management operational plan, monitor expenditure, follow-up periodic performance indicators and review completion rates
- Ensure that the office\'s business processes are conducted in a manner that meets the standards of the Excellence Awards, ISO and COZO and follow up on improvement opportunities for all feedback reports and risk records
- Managing the final analysis of the research conducted by data management, research and other relevant stakeholders, identifying potential solutions that can be translated into the contexts of new strategic initiatives
- Develop strategic directions by developing the specifications of high-level initiatives in coordination with key responsible business sectors while identifying the necessary steps from designing initiatives to setting the stage
- Monitoring the implementation of initiatives towards key performance indicators and implementing corrective actions where appropriate
- Provide guidance in the development of strategic matching plans, making recommendations in line with initiatives with their descriptions, level of measurement and economic impact

Requirements:

- UAEN with a Family Book
- At least 10 years of practical experience in strategic planning and performance management, at least four of which are in a supervisory position
- Bachelor in Economics or Strategy and preferably master\'s degree in public administration, strategic planning or economics or equivalent
- Knowledge of the implementation of strategic objectives and the identification of goals, initiatives and requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
