Job Category: General Management : This is a strategic role with significant accountability and leadership visibility within Digital Consulting. It provides leadership and direction to sale and deliver services and projects for clients' systems integration programmes. The position reports directly to the VP Digital Operations and is a key member of the wider Digital Consulting Leadership Team. The role has full responsibility and accountability for identifying and developing opportunities to take Wood's systems integration (SI) targeted services to clients in the Middle East in a holistic way which may include selected partners as set out in Wood's Digital Strategy. Systems Integration targeted services include the following strategic areas:
OT Cybersecurity & Networks
Remote Operations (incl. Telecoms)
Digitalisation
The purpose of the role is to:
Work with the Digital Consulting team, and in particular the Operations Director of Systems Integration, and Business managers of Digital Integration to further develop the Middle East Strategy and Business Plans for growth
Develop and maintain favourable relationships with new and existing Middle East clients; and internal, cross BU stakeholders to increase revenue and ensure that Wood's SI services consistently meet client needs
Understand key external growth opportunities and align a go-to-market strategy for the targeted SI services to capitalize on them
Drive investment decisions; identify and acquire new business with existing and new clients; support partnerships; attain key performance metrics
Have a detailed understanding of local SIs and competitors in the Middle East
Have an appreciation for the registration processes of Target Clients
This role is critical to move Digital Consulting to be the partner of choice for our clients' Digital and Industry 4.0 transformation programmes Responsibilities:
Be the internal lead for Systems Integration BD efforts in the Middle East with our Clients
Engage with key account teams to identify Systems Integration opportunities
Identify potential opportunities from external network
Understand broader customer needs and understand and map their digital journeys
Develop integrated propositions with broader Wood and digital experts
Understand market landscape and collate competitor intelligence
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and threats to provide strategic. recommendations for improving security posture
Lead execution of technical consulting engagements in SI focus areas
Work with Strategic Partnerships Director to identify and build the right partnerships and JVs to fill capability gaps
Increase Wood share of voice externally on key systems integration topics
Act as an ambassador for key systems integration topics across Wood
Ensure Wood is present at key industry conferences and in key industry publications
Build Wood brand through external events, drive new sales alongside account teams and right experts
Qualifications:
Expert in global energy sector, ideally with additional expertise in global onshore/offshore digital programmes
Master's degree in Engineering or technical subject
MBA or equivalent experience desirable
Experience:
Technical background within area of automation & systems integration in Oil & Gas, Process & Chemical sectors i.e.
OT/ICS systems - SCADA, DCS, PLC, EMS
Cybersecurity standards and solutions
Network and telecom infrastructure
Evaluation and implementation of new technologies and automation solutions to enhance operations
Industrial IoT applications
Customer facing role with proven commercial/business development experience and exposure to business management and customer account management, in particular with identification and sales of cybersecurity & networks, remote operations and digitalisation services
Technical certification including Cybersecurity certification
Extensive experience executing projects / business development in the UAE (essential) and other GCC countries (preferable)
Familiarity with relevant standards and procedures for Key Clients (ADNOC, Saudi Aramco etc.)
Fluent in Arabic (preferable)
Diagnosing customer hot spots and solving them in collaboration with product / services
Working efficiently and strategically with customers
Proven commitment to embedding a safety culture
