The Director of Financial Grants and Scholarships will manage and direct all operations of the Office of Financial Grants and Scholarships including the allocation and review of financial grants to students in financial need, the management and review of merit scholarships awards and the management and review of all other scholarships and endowed funds.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the review of financial grant applications from families of undergraduate students at AUS.
Manage the assignment and review of merit scholarships for undergraduate students.
Participate in financial grants and scholarships policy review through the Financial Grants Committee.
Provide timely reports to the upper administration on the status of financial grants and scholarships at AUS.
Manage the allocation of endowed funds and other philanthropic donations assigned to aid students financially.
Lead the Office of Financial Grants and Scholarships team in all operations related to the office.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Bachelor\'s degree
7 years\' experience working in higher education management or a related area.
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to critically analyze and interpret general business processes.
Ability to lead with diplomacy, honesty, integrity and tact.
Ability to show initiative and critical judgement.
Ability to anticipate conditions, plan ahead, establish priorities, and meet schedules.
Financial management and analysis skills
UAE national preferred.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Master\'s degree
10 years\' experience working in higher education management or a related area
Experience working in financial aid, or scholarships within a higher educational setting.
